Design Engineer

A highly innovative Design Engineer role focused on driving new product development within electromechanical systems. You'll own the full lifecycle from concept through to production, playing a key role in launching brand-new products to market.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a well-established engineering business known for developing technically advanced, market-leading products. With a strong pipeline of new product introduction activity, they are investing in design capability to support future growth and innovation.\n\nDescription\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nLead end-to-end NPD projects, from concept generation through to manufacture.\nDesign and develop electromechanical products using CAD, supported by FEA.\nRespond to legislative and regulatory changes by driving product updates and redesigns.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and supply chain.\nSupport product management activity across new and existing product lines.\nEnsure designs are optimised for manufacture across moulding, fabrication and metal forming processes.\nContribute to the development of new technologies and product innovation strategies.Profile\n\nThe successful candidate:\n\nProven experience driving NPD/NPI projects within an engineering/manufacturing environment.\nStrong background in electromechanical product design.\nExperience using CAD, with exposure to simulation tools such as FEA.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes including moulding, fabrication and metal forming.\nCommercially aware, with an understanding of product lifecycle and product management.\nProactive and motivated, ideally looking for a fresh challenge in a highly innovative environment.\nSuitable for both mid-level engineers and more senior individuals (with potential to support junior hires).Job Offer\n\nWhat's on offer:\n\nSalary: £45,000 - £50,000.\nCompetitive holidays and pension offering.\nElectric vehicle scheme.\nOpportunity to work on brand-new product development initiatives.\nClear progression pathway within an expanding design team
